Colbie Caillat
Caillat worked with many producers, songwriters, and artists on the new album, including songwriters and producers such as Greg Wells, Rick Nowels, John Shanks, and the songwriter and 2009 American Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi. Caillat set up a hi-octane 'writing camp' in Hawaii last year, inviting familiar collaborators Jason Reeves and Mikal Blue (who co-produced/co-wrote her debut album) and Kara DioGuardi to the 'camp.' Caillat and her team wrote 50 songs for the album and recorded 20. In March/April, 2009, she played the songs for a small group of fans to help her determine the final 12-15 that would make the album. In reference to the reasoning behind this, Caillat commented in mid-June that, "In making Coco, I put a lot of songs on my MySpace page and listened to what my fans had to say about each. I really want to keep them in on the process with me this time around like with the first album. We are a great team!"While there are 12 out of the 20 tracks recorded on her album, the deluxe version, which was released on August 25, has 5 bonus tracks.[2] Universal originally reported that the deluxe edition would also include a bonus DVD, but the DVD was been removed from the listing as of July 28th.[3] The final three recorded tracks not featured on the album are expected to be bonus tracks or b-sides. Caillat also stated that Kara DioGuardi is one of the best songwriters ever and that she also pushed herself to add violins and cellos into the mix of some songs in order to make her songs more complex than her debut album's songs.[4] World renown guitarist David Becker can also be heard on two tracks. Becker has worked with the singers father Ken on many of his own recordings. The album debuted atop the Billboard 200, selling 106,000 copies in its first week and giving Caillat her first #1 album.[5] She also topped the Billboard Top Digital Albums chart and the Top Rock Albums chart. Hello Wankers
Im feeling pissed right now. Because my grandmother wont leave me alone aka Naggy. Dammit. Thank God Ms Tan isnt here to read my rubbish. That was kind of selfish though. My parents always tell me that I should treasure Ama because shes old, but they are the same people who bar me from going there. Though thats probably my own fault.Im watching "Catch Me If You F-ing Can" in Channel 5. I didn know there was a sex scene inside. Curse those people at the Singapore production office. They dont comment on this but they complain about Little Nyonya's rape scene. Apparently the population is really perverted. I feel so comforted. Its supposed to be a true story (the person portrayed is a real person). Shit Tom Hanks. Im on the side of the villain like LOL. This isnt exactly some literary assignment so actually Im not obligated to unadulterate my literary masterpieces so I can be as vulgar here as I want! Whoohoo! Back to the show. Its kind of sad because all of his lies are breaking apart. Moral of the story: Dont tell lies or they'll stuff your face with eclairs. Like oh my god, hes actually 17 but hes acting as a 28 (the actor at that time was only 25) Labels: Television Monday, June 1, 2009, 7:29 PM

Constructive Criticism only, k? :D Golden Pheonix No.of episodes: 30 Source of Inspiration: Flaming Butterfly When she was 8, Huang xiaofeng’s mother, Ziling died after becoming pregnant. Ziling’s lover shunned all responsibility, causing her to commit suicide by setting fire to herself. Young Xiaofeng watched helplessly as her mother died. 15 years later, her father, successful businessman Huang Yuan, is at a loss. He has a mountain of debt, and his business associate, Hu Wensui, has stabbed him in the back. Xiaofeng has always been childhood friends with Wensui’s only son, Weide. They lost contact after Weide moved to Australia. Huang Yuan makes use of their relationship and pleads with Wensui, who was kept in the dark. Wensui flies into a rage and forbids Weide to marry Xiaofeng, even suing Huang Yuan. It is too much for Huang Yuan. He sets fire Wensui’s factory but accidentally dies in the flames. Xiaofeng suddenly becomes an orphan. She blames everything on Wensui and wants her revenge. Weide, seeing how despondent she is, comforts her and marries her secretly. Wensui has no choice but to accept her. Weide’s younger sister, Wenya, is extremely cold to Xiaofeng and deliberately tries to cause misunderstandings between Xiaofeng and Wensui and Weide. Xiaofeng confronts Wenya, only for the two of them to get into a scuffle. Xiaofeng is pushed down a flight of stairs and it is revealed: she was pregnant and had a miscarriage. Wensui admits to Xiaofeng that he was Ziling’s lover. This only spurs Xiaofeng to take her revenge. Wenya gets into trouble for taking drugs under peer pressure. Xiaofeng passes by and instead of helping Wenya, betrays her. Wenya is dragged to the police station and incarcerated. Wensui suspects Xiaofeng has something to do with it but cannot say anything. Soon, Wensui’s company loses a huge amount of money. It is in fact all Xiaofeng’s doing. Wensui contracts depression and stays at home all day, refusing to go to work. One day, there is a blackout and candles are lit. When Weide leaves the house after arguing with his father, he accidentally knocks over a candle, which sets fire to a curtain. The fire rapidly spreads and burns Wensui to death. The only unharmed object is a portrait of a phoenix… Soon Wensui’s company goes downhill due to Weide’s poor management. Weide’s mother, Baozuan, chases Xiaofeng out of the house after an argument. Baozuan dips into her own personal funds and helps Weide tide over the crisis. Baozuan forces Xiaofeng to sign a divorce paper so that Weide can retain all his money. Xiaofeng refuses to sign it and infuriates Baozuan so much that she has a stroke. She is rushed to hospital and becomes paralyzed. She later dies of a heart attack after Xiaofeng divorces Weide. Xiaofeng begins to buy shares at rock-bottom prices and Weide, due to his feelings for Xiaofeng, can only shrug his shoulders helplessly as his company falls apart. Weide declares bankruptcy and Xioafeng’s job is complete. 5 years down the road and Weide has become a pathetic beggar, stuffing his mouth with the rubbish in the streets. In his simple mind, the owner of Golden Pheonix restaurant gives him free food everyday. He slowly regains his memory and the mystery Samaritan encourages him to get a job. He makes out a career for himself as a small businessman. He resumes his search for Xiaofeng and is astounded to discover his savior is in fact Xiaofeng. Xiaofeng is now a widow with a five-year old son. Her husband, a chef, died in a restaurant accident when he tried to stop the owner committing arson to claim insurance as business was bad. Xiaofeng takes over and whips up one delicious dish after another. Xiaofeng feigns indifference and pretends not to know Weide. Weide suspects Xiaofeng’s son, Xiaoqiang, is in fact his son but Xiaofeng denies it. *Take a Bow* Labels: Dwama Thursday, May 21, 2009, 8:26 PM
